  • Include your name and case number with your payment.

Drop Box at the Courthouse

  • A secure payment drop box is located at the front entrance of the Courthouse.
  • Place your payment in an envelope labeled with your name and case number

Ways to contest and request a hearing

In-Person at the Courthouse

  • Enter a not guilty plea at the Magistrate Court windows.

Email

  • Email a statement denying the citation and request a hearing to: kbacon@bingham.idcourts.gov
  • Follow up within 7–10 days if you have not heard back.

Mail

  • Mail a copy of your citation with the denial box checked on the back.
  • If you do not receive a response within 7–10 days, please follow up with the Court.

No Insurance Citation  

If you had insurance when you received the citation, please provide proof of liability insurance using one of the following methods:

If you did not have insurance at the time you received the citation, the following actions will occur:

  • You will receive a letter from the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) explaining the following:
    • that you must obtain SR-22 insurance through your insurance provider.
    • that you must pay an $85 fee to ITD to keep your driver’s license active.
