The Central Transfer Station in Moreland receives all the household garbage (Municipal Solid Waste - MSW) in Bingham County. Aberdeen and Rattlesnake Landfills transport all their household garbage to the Moreland location where it is collected and loaded onto transport trailers and hauled off site to the Bannock County Municipal Solid Waste Landfill for final disposal.

The Moreland Central Solid Waste Transfer Station does accept Construction & Demolition (C&D) Waste (Non-Municipal Solid Waste - NMSW) where it is collected in roll off waste containers and transported to the county's Rattlesnake Landfill for final disposal. Clean Fill material and Inert Waste can be taken at the Moreland location and disposed of on site.

License plates & descriptions of all vehicles coming into and leaving the Moreland Central Solid Waste Transfer Station are recorded.

ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS: Concrete, block, brick, wood, tree limbs, grass, metal wire, posts, scrap metal, dirt, rocks, construction waste, demolition and remodeling waste.  The following chart will apply for individual residents (not commercial) bringing their own yard debris.

Items in need of disposing that are not on this list may be prohibited by local. state. or federal regulations.

By state law, Construction & Demolition Waste must be disposed of separately from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), this includes household garbage).

In an event you have items for disposal not listed above please contact the Bingham County Solid Waste's Moreland Transfer Station Scale House for further assistance @ (208) 782-3867 or (208) 782-3870 or contact your local Idaho Department of Environmental Quality.
