Commissioner Mark R. Bair

Mark Bair was born and raised in Bingham County. Growing up on a farm, raising grain, potatoes, and hay taught Mark the value of hard work and financial responsibility. He graduated from Snake River
High School and attended Brigham Young University. Although Mark was born and raised in Bingham County, he recognizes that Bingham County businesses are competitors in national and global economies.
He is committed to building and attracting high paying jobs to Bingham County.

Mark and his wife Sherrilynn are the parents of 5 children and 23 grandchildren. They recognize that strong families are the backbone of strong communities.  They are committed to serving the residents of Bingham County and are involved in many community activities.

Commissioner Bair serves on the Idaho Association of Counties Legislative Committee, is the 2nd Vice President of the Idaho Association of Commissioners and Clerks, is the 2nd Vice President of the Idaho Association of Counties Executive Board and is the Chairman of the Gem Plan Board. 

Some of the major projects that Commissioner Bair has been involved with are Patriot Field, the new Road & Bridge Shop and the upcoming jail expansion, which have all been completed without the use of property tax dollars.
